I have just got back from a commission for a new client. It was originally to capture and reproduce some images of her paintings for print sales. However, when I arrived her new camera had arrived and she was struggling to use it. By the end of the session, the artist had my images on her computer, knew how to load them into Gimp and save them out again. She also had the basic working requirements of her new camera. I left with an extremely happy client, who now wants some more tuition in using the camera. we are going to arrange a session next week to go and photograph trees. In this way if she has any problems or can not get the shot I can give some guidance and tuition, at her own pace.
I have also joined an offshoot group from the Royal Photographic Societies Contemporary Facebook Page, called The Book of Chairs. This comes from an original post somebody putting up and then more members putting theirs up. I originally submitted an image and joined in the game. However, it began to take over the news-feed and so it has now been given its own page.
I will try to find the original image I put on the main site and ad here. The latest image came from my re-submission for the documentary and is called The Last Bus Home. Hopefully it will get included in the published book, when the submission date is due. however mine will probably not get picked as I am not a member of the RPS main body, just 3 of the societies Facebook groups.
I originally posted the Black and White image. However I noticed most of the other entries are in colour, so I added the colour image in the comments section and have asked which one I should pick
