Jender Fluid

The image for the first advertisement is finished and is below.

Finally launched on Twitter, but it is a new account and may take a while to get seen.

The next advertisements are being arranged and will appear as completed.

The final rendition of the typeface is on the bottom. After a small quick survey of what people think of it the initions of design have been proven. The positioning of the text does not easily allow the eye to fix on it, instead making the eye move around the words. The play between the positive and negitive space also facilitates this. Actually reading the words also creates engagement as the mind has to process what is written, The initial J looks like a kind of star wars J(edi), and the outward strokes of the lettering looks like waving arms and as they wave the wording changes with connotations of Easy Rider and Sender. The Fluid also looks like it is made up of different sized letters coming from an optical illusion in the placement of the lining up of the lettering to the word above. This helps shape and define the look and keeps it tight, but pays tricks with the eyes. Hopefully this will create a hook and engagement with my potential audience. I am going to do small print runs of the advertisement and see if it captures any opperationsal grafitti.

I have also commisioned a website for the project and aquired the domain name Jender Fluid. This will allow me to turn the concept into a real brand with a website and shop selling Wall-Art, T-shirts and Prints. There are a number of ideas coming from this unexpected development in the project.
