Re-Submissions – What a Day

Until Thursday my diary was scheduled for me to shoot a 48hr festival called Sunk-fest. Then Elliot from the previous third year class, who I had called in for a prospective shoot package for a new client and after the event, met up with one of the organisers of Sunk-fest and this was agreed and wrote in the diary. Then Thursday and waiting to find out if I needed a pass or a T-shirt or something was told, I am not letting two people in to do one job, as I am letting too many people in for free. I told Elliot not to worry about it as, he was obviously used to dealing with idiots, with Elliot’s exception and I was happy to let him carry on doing that.

This lead to me arranging a session with a model called Emery, who I bumped into Thursday night and he wants a set of images doing for some publicity material. He cancelled a 1230 meeting at 1145 and this then left me thinking how do I find another model to do some work.

Then at 1300, a local Rap artist contacted me, and asked what am I doing this afternoon, he was in the studio rehearsing and hosting a Rap Battle latter, and could Ronnie Soak come and photograph it all.

I agreed and hopefully could get some shots, afterwards, for my resubmission assignments.

Here are a small selection of the, unedited Lightroom for web.jpg images, with a larger developed selection in the gallery section and the full unprocessed camera roll in the shoot diary section. Due to the transient nature of the event, the photos had to be sent through Facebook, in order for the client wanting to publish on social media straight away. Copies of all files will be sent on a memory stick to the client.

In addition to this the second Rap artist, lee Carnall, is going to appear in the battle room on the Charlie Sloth show on BBC Radio One. He has asked me to go to London as part of the crew and photograph for thirty-six hours as he goes around the capital and appears on the radio show. Getting, the last coach into London and the first coach out about 36hrs later, then use this as a kickstart for an international multimedia promotional campaign, for his album currently being produced.

A write up of the shoot is under the shooting diaries Gorilla Rehearsal One
